Established in 1995 and celebrating 25 years of publishing, Les 400 coups is solely dedicated to children's literature by publishing eccentric picture books. Both fun and serious, for young and old, Les 400 coups offers its readers an array of stunning, humorous, thought-provoking, and often even startling titles that stimulate reflection.
Guided by the desire to offer high quality books that shines the light on the richness of human diversity, the passionate team of eight employees work each day at renewing themselves, be it by the themes they address, the creators they present or the original formats of the books they publish.

Les 400 coups represent 25 years of creation and inspiration with close to 550 creators, more than 450 published titles and over 305 awards and distinctions.
