Hardie Grant Egmont is Australia’s leading independent children’s publisher and just like the kids who read their books, they’re youthful and dynamic with boundless energy.
Renowned for its exceptional success in series publishing, the firm works with the biggest names and brands across the globe to bring the best stories to life. From young readers to YA, pre-school to picturebooks, the company is committed to publishing innovative, market leading fiction, illustrated and non-fiction titles for modern families and readers.
The fiction programme covers best‐selling series and stand-alone stories for first readers through to young adults. While some series such as Billie B. Brown have sold over 5 million copies in Australia alone, many creations such as Real Pigeons have now published in dozens of languages around the world.
Little Hare is HGE’s illustrated imprint specialized in beautiful, award‐winning picturebooks by acclaimed contributors such as Davina Bell, Sophie Beer, Jonathan Bentley, Freya Blackwood, and Jedda Robaard.
The recent extension into non-fiction titles has delivered immediate international success, showcasing the knowledge and talent of key contributors including Philip Buntin, Tim Flannery, Yumi Stynes, and Dr. Melissa Kang.
In addition to HGE’s growing range of pre-school and novelty, including lift-the-flap, early concept and reference books for children of all ages, other publications include leading local and global brands including AFL, Disney, LEGO®, Minecraft, Star Wars, and Thomas & Friends.
